CDR Claims Consultation

Background
This consultation was undertaken on behalf of the London Market Group (LMG) Data Council. The purpose of the consultation is to ensure that claims specialists have the opportunity to validate the extension of the Core Data Record (CDR) for Claims.

The ask
The consultation will run from 26 November 2025 to 28 February 2026. Respondents are requested to complete this Feedback form

The changes proposed
The proposal is to broaden the use of the CDR by introducing additional data points required for Open Market Claims, and to clarify data points in the current Placing CDR that are also required for Claims.

These changes have been proposed based on information available as of November 2025 and are for review only. We are currently only seeking opinions on Data items already captured in the Placing CDR that can be reused for claims purposes and on the proposed CDR fields for claims. A date for usage will be published following review of the consultation feedback.
