LMA Bodily Injury Index (BII)
LIMOSS has recently added the LMA Bodily Injury Index dataset into the LIMOSS Market Business Glossary (MBG).
What is the Bodily Injury Index (BII)
The Bodily Injury Index is a dataset showing claims data for 8 categories of bodily injury ranging from minor injury to death within approximately 100 countries.
BII Benefits:
- The Index currently has data for 2024 only, but the intention is to show % changes over time in subsequent years to identify the range of inflationary increases across bodily injury type and country.
- The BII data set has the following features available within the MBG to enable review of the data:
- Percentage change over time.
- Ability to directly compare one jurisdiction with another.
- Improved aesthetics and user interface for MAs based on their requirements.
- Ability to export data from the index.
- Graphing functions to display changes over time.
The Index has been collated by law firm DAC Beachcroft (DACB) alongside local partners in each jurisdiction i.e. DACB are managing data updates via local firms in jurisdictions.
