The Lloyd’s Market Association


The Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) provides representation, information and technical services to underwriting businesses in the Lloyd’s market.

The LMA identifies and resolves issues which are of particular interest to the Managing Agents and, working in partnership with the Corporation of Lloyd’s and other partner associations, influences future market initiatives.

The LMA Board’s strategic objectives are to:

  • Increase the flow of profitable business into the market;
  • Maintain capital flexibility; and
  • Reduce costs.

The LMA has one third ownership of LIMOSS, and appoints three of its eight directors. Because the Managing Agents represented by the LMA depend on the Market Services managed by LIMOSS, the relationship between the LMA and LIMOSS is particularly important.
