New projects for 2019 include the development of a flexible customer-centric model that will handle all claims processes through a claims lifecycle. It will deliver benefits to customers, carriers, delegated agents and brokers.

It includes:

  • Customer/third-party Access & Communication - a flexible  distribution model and direct access via customer and third-party portal;
  • Reduced claims lifecycle - claims settlement and claims management processes to streamline all claims types, reducing the claims lifecycle and simplifying the agreement / processing chain; and
  • Flexible & enhanced settlement methods - optimised payments which reduce settlement times.

Block Chain and Distributed Ledger Technology are being reviewed to assess their impact on improving claims processing and settlement methods.
